The process of Anaerobic Digestion, that is in the absence of free oxygen, is based on the development of microorganisms that attack the organic substance transforming it into biogas, consisting of Biomethane and Carbon Dioxide.

The organic suspension coming from the pretreatment phase is delivered in closed reactors called digesters, fed continuously and maintained at thermophilic conditions.
